Who we are
BEON.tech connects companies in the United States with senior software engineers in Latin America. This policy covers beon.tech, its landing pages and the forms on them. It applies both to visitors who contact us about hiring engineers and to engineers who apply to join our talent network.
If you have a question about this policy or about your data, write to hello@beon.tech.
Information we collect
We collect information in three ways.
- Information you give us. When you fill in a form — a discovery-call request, a contact form, a newsletter sign-up or a candidate application — we collect what you type: typically your name, work email, company, role, and whatever you tell us about the team or the position you are hiring for. Engineers who apply also provide professional information such as their CV, LinkedIn profile, work history, technologies and salary expectations.
- Information we collect automatically. When you browse the site we and our analytics providers collect standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the advertising parameters in the URL you arrived with (for example utm_source or gclid). This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Information from third parties. If you reach us through an advertising or referral platform, that platform may tell us which campaign you came from. For engineers in our talent network, we may also process information from public professional profiles and from references you point us to.
How we use it
- To respond to you, schedule an intro call, and answer questions about hiring.
- To match hiring companies with engineers in our talent network, and to run our screening, vetting and placement process.
- To send you information about our services where you have asked for it or where we are otherwise permitted to. You can opt out of marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message.
- To measure and improve our marketing — which pages and campaigns lead to a conversation — and to improve the site itself.
- To meet our legal, tax and contractual obligations.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement to understand how people find and use the site, and HubSpot to manage the forms and the conversations that follow. These set cookies on your device.
Some cookies are necessary for the site to work. Others are analytics and advertising cookies that help us see which campaigns are working. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site will still work, but our measurement will be incomplete.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send directly identifying information such as your email address to advertising platforms.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with parties who need it to make our service work:
- Service providers who operate parts of our stack on our behalf — hosting, CRM and email (HubSpot), analytics (Google), scheduling, and payment and payroll providers. They may process the data only on our instructions.
- Client companies, when you are an engineer in our talent network and we present your profile for a role. We share professional information relevant to the role; we tell you before presenting you.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where we are legally required to.
International transfers
We operate across Latin America and the United States, and our providers do too, so your information may be stored or processed outside the country you live in. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards our providers offer, including standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep contact and enquiry data for as long as we have an active relationship with you or your company, and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes. Engineer profiles stay in our talent network so we can approach you about future roles; ask us and we will remove yours.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, or withdraw consent you previously gave. To exercise any of these, write to hello@beon.tech and we will respond within the period the applicable law requires.
If you are in the EEA or the UK and you believe we have handled your data improperly, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit and vetted providers to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable and appropriate measures, and we will tell you and the relevant authorities if a breach affects you and the law requires notification.
Children's data
Our services are for businesses and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be communicated more directly where we can.
