Nearshore engagement models

Engagement models: choose how much of the stack you want us to run

Five ways to work with LATAM engineers, from direct-hire recruitment to a fully managed team. Each one covers more of the work around the engineer: the contract, payroll, equipment and delivery.

The 7 modules every engagement draws from. Each engagement model includes a different number of them.

What each engagement model includes

Every engagement model covers a different share of the work around the engineer: the contract, payroll, equipment, check-ins, replacement and delivery. Pick a model to see what it includes and what stays with your team.

Who does what in each engagement model

You always make the final hiring decision. What changes between models is who employs the engineer, who sets priorities and who runs delivery.

None of these is a resume marketplace or a freelancer platform. Every engineer is vetted through the same process, every engagement has a named person at BEON who owns it, and pricing is quoted per month, not per hour.

Engagement models FAQ

Yes. Moving from Staff Augmentation to a Dedicated or Managed Team, or converting a Contract-to-Hire engineer to your payroll, doesn't restart the relationship. The engineers stay; what BEON covers around them changes. Read the full guide to engagement models.

Who owns delivery. In a Dedicated Team, your leadership sets priorities and runs the sprint, and our tech lead runs the technical side. In a Managed Team, a BEON project manager also owns planning, reporting and escalation. See the full comparison of staff augmentation and managed services.

The intent. Staff Augmentation is designed to stay on our payroll for as long as you need. Contract-to-Hire is designed to convert to your payroll, and the conversion fee drops the longer the engineer has worked with you. Staff augmentation vs direct hire, explained.

From Staff Augmentation up, yes: a laptop, enrolled in your MDM and set up with your licenses and the access the role needs. If you prefer to ship your own devices, we take it out.

Under an Employer of Record structure the engineer is a BEON employee. Under an Agent of Record structure they work as an independent contractor. Either way, we manage the contract, payments and classification. Which one fits depends on the country and on your preference. EOR vs contractor: how they differ.

From Staff Augmentation up, we replace them within four weeks at no extra cost, for as long as they're with you. For direct-hire recruitment, the guarantee is 90 days. How the Nearshoring Protocol™ handles replacements.

IT Recruitment is a one-time fee of 25% of first-year salary. Staff Augmentation and Contract-to-Hire cost $6,000–$8,000 a month per senior engineer, all-inclusive. A Dedicated Team costs $35,000–$60,000 a month for a squad of 3–6 engineers, BEON tech lead included. A Managed Team adds one seat for the BEON project manager to the Dedicated Team rate. See rates by country and stack.

We send the first CV 4 days after an opening is created and the profile of the engineer you end up hiring at 7.5 (medians for 2026). These are medians across roles; specialized or senior-architect openings take longer, and we'll tell you up front.

You do, in every model. Every engineer signs an NDA and an IP assignment before starting.
